Corporate filings processing time is 40 - 45 business days. To determine if your filing has been processed, please go to Corporate Search to do a corporate name lookup. When you are on the Information Summary page, you can see additional filing information by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting "view list of filings".

In observance of Indigenous Peoples Day, the Bureau of Corporations, Elections & Commissions will be closed Monday, October 14, 2024.

The purpose of the Division of Corporations, UCC and Commissions is to:

1. Serve as a repository for all records relating to the following business and nonprofit entities:

Business Corporations
Non-Profit Corporations
Limited Partnerships
Limited Liability Companies
Limited Liability Partnerships
General Partnerships
Cooperatives
Marks

  1. Serve as a repository for all liens filed on personal property under the Uniform Commercial Code

  2. Administer the appointment, renewal and continuing education of Notaries Public

  3. Administer the application process for nominees for the office of Dedimus Justice

  4. Record and maintain appointments and information for boards and commissions listed in Title 5, chapter 379

  5. Process requests for authentications, apostilles and other certifications on the acts of public officials.
